Tips to keep your pet cool during the summer
It's hot. Not just for us, but for our beloved pets too. Dogs and cats sweat differently. Below are some tips to make the warm summer days a little easier to get through.
Tip 1: Stay Hydrated
Keep your dog or cat hydrated during hot weather with a drinking bottle or drinking fountain. During hot days, they don't sweat like humans do. It's therefore essential that they always have access to fresh water. The Manoa drinking fountain ensures that the water flows continuously, keeping it fresher and more appealing for your pet(s). A compact drinking bottle for on the go is always handy! Encourage your dog or cat to drink more by placing multiple water bowls in different locations. Place them in a quiet spot where your pet can easily look around.
Tip 2: Cool Snacks
Treat your pet to a cool snack. For example, spread some pâté on a licking mat and put it in the freezer overnight. Your dog or cat will happily lick it clean. A Garden Bites chew snack can also be filled with dog paste and stored in the freezer overnight. The next day, your dog will have a delicious ice cream that will keep him busy for a while.

Tip 3: Playing with Water
Provide refreshment with a small pool or water toy. Give puppies and small dogs endless chewing fun with the Coco water toy. Submerge it in water and the toy becomes an attractive source of water. It can also be cooled in the refrigerator for extra refreshment.

Tip 4: A Cool Resting Place
Create a fresh resting spot. The ideal resting place for your cat is a high but cool spot. Place the Kyo windowsill bed on the outside of your window in the shade, so your cat can relax outside in the evening and keep an eye on everything.
Create a cool resting place for your dog by placing the dog cushion or dog bed in the coolest spot in the house, such as the hallway, garage, storage room, or... the toilet. Go exploring!
