This is how you can tell if your dog is truly happy.
A dog is your best friend with whom you want to share as many beautiful moments as possible. Of course you want your dog to be happy! But how do you know if your dog is really happy? Below are three important signs that your dog is content and that you are doing things well.
Body language
One of the easiest ways to know if your dog is happy is by observing their body language. Body language is key to understanding your dog's emotions. It is the physical representation of how they feel inside.
Content dogs have a rather relaxed posture. If your dog lies on their back and shows their belly, bonus points for you! That means they feel completely at ease and trust you!

If your dog shows wide-set eyes and upright ears, something is demanding their attention. They are not relaxed. The same applies to a dog with their tail between their legs. This often indicates fear.
Eats with gusto
Another good indicator is that your dog eats well. Dogs who eat their food with gusto, and of course also have a snack occasionally, generally indicate that they are happy. However, if your dog tends to avoid food or stops eating altogether, that is a sign that something may be wrong.
It could be a simple explanation; perhaps your dog is picky and doesn't like the food you're giving them. Try different food. However, if they still don't eat, it could indicate a physical or mental problem that needs to be investigated by your vet.

Eager to play
Playing is a big part of a dog's life. It is therefore important that your dog likes to play a lot. Playing is not only good for their happiness level, but also for many other reasons, such as combating boredom and maintaining a healthy mind. Seeing your dog get excited about playing or spending time with you is a key indicator of their happiness. Occasionally varying the game or toys helps a lot with motivation during play.

Playing with other dogs is also a good sign. Dogs are pack animals and generally like to interact with others, unless they have experienced a traumatic event with other dogs in the past. Seeing them make friends in the park or generally being relaxed around other dogs is a good sign that they are happy.
Does your dog meet these three points? Good job! Your dog not only makes you happy, but you make them happy too.
